Programs & Services

ASBC currently offers programs and services in order to meet the needs of our membership and the community at large. The following programs and services are currently available:

Available Services for Adults - This section has been designed to assist adult individuals and parents of adult individuals with locating services in the community.

Community Parent Groups - Also known as Community Facilitators, this umbrella group consist of parent volunteers who meet at regular intervals to assist parents in their respective communities.  An excellent opportunity to meet and network with other parents, and also a great opportunity to learn more as many of our groups bring in guest speakers on a wide range of topics to help educate interested parents.

Summer Reimbursement Program -  This year's Summer Reimbursement Program is due to start up again in June.  A page will be up in May to showcase some of the many activities that our member's children participated in over the years.  If you would like more information on how to get involved and make a difference in the lives of these children, please contact our Director of Fundraising .    (For a listing of some of the many summer camps available - click here )

In addition to bringing in special guest speakers, ASBC also offers individualized workshops for groups of 8 people or more as an information resource for professionals and programs in the community such as schools, pars & recreation programs and residential staff or teams of parents. If you'd like to request a workshop/speaker for your organization, class or event, please download a copy of our Request Form and fax it back to us at: (604) 434-0801. Please note that there is a cost associated with this service.
